"University of Jammu announces Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate Programs for Academic Session 2023-24"

The University of Jammu, a NAAC accredited "A+" grade university, has issued a public notice regarding admissions to its undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2023-24. According to the notice, admission to all the Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP) and 5 Year Law etc. of the University of Jammu running at GOVT. DEGREE COLLEGES/Private Affiliated Colleges, in the entire Jammu Province as well as in the Main Campus/offsite Campuses of the University of Jammu shall be done purely on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)-2023) to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

The notice further states that all the desirous candidates seeking admission in any Under Graduate Course (FYUGP), for the academic session 2023-24, are required to appear in the CUET-UG-2023. The Entrance Test will be held in COMPUTER BASED TEST(CBT) mode, as per the schedule mentioned in the notice. The last date for the online submission of the application form is March 12, 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.), and the last date for the successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI is also the same. However, candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections in their particulars from March 15 to March 18, 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.).

The notice also mentions the fee structure applicable for CUET (UG)-2023, which will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The fee payable by candidates for up to 03 subjects is INR 750 for General(UR) candidates, INR 700 for SC/ST/PWBD/(OBC)-NCL)/EWS candidates, and INR 650 for Third gender candidates. Similarly, the fee payable by candidates for up to 07 subjects is INR 1500 for General(UR) candidates, INR 1400 for SC/ST/PWBD/(OBC)-NCL)/EWS candidates, and INR 1300 for Third gender candidates. For up to 10 subjects, the fee payable by candidates is INR 1750 for General(UR) candidates, INR 1650 for SC/ST/PWBD/(OBC)-NCL)/EWS candidates, and INR 1550 for Third gender candidates. Candidates who wish to appear in the examination from centres outside India will have to pay INR 3750 for up to 03 subjects, INR 7500 for up to 07 subjects, and INR 11000 for up to 10 subjects.

The notice further mentions that all students who are appearing/appeared in the Higher Secondary Part-lind (JKBOSE/CBSE) Examination can fill the online application form for CUET-(UG)-23 on the website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ during the prescribed dates.
