The University of Jammu has recently announced a new fee structure for students seeking admission in UG/PG/Ph.D programs. Effective from the academic session 2022-23, each student will now be required to pay an Alumni fee of Rs. 100 towards activities under the University of Jammu Alumni Association (UJAA). This fee is a one-time fee and is non-refundable.
The Alumni fee will be deposited in the account of the University of Jammu Alumni Association and will be used for various activities organized by the association to promote the interests of alumni and the university. The announcement was made through a notification (22/Dec/GEN/44) by the Dean of Academic Affairs and has been approved by the 118th University Syndicate.
The notification has been communicated to all relevant departments and institutions, including the heads of teaching departments, the Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Director of CDC, DIQA, DDE, and all Principals of affiliated degree colleges. The notice has also been uploaded on the University's website for the benefit of students and alumni.
In conclusion, the University of Jammu has taken a significant step towards strengthening its alumni network and promoting the interests of its alumni and the university. The new Alumni fee structure is a small but significant step towards achieving these goals.
